Joey Faust Marked and Excluded From Christian Fellowship

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Be it known that Joey Faust is no longer a pastor or member of Long Run Baptist Church and has been marked and noted as a man to not keep Christian company with, for the following reasons:

  • Inappropriate conduct with a minor – Joey Faust, while pastor of the church, admitted to having a private conversation with a child (in the parking lot outside of the church building) who had just turned seventeen (and was a member of the church) asking her if she was romantically interested in him. He admitted she left the conversation visibly upset. He withheld the fact this conversation occurred from the parents until they found out about it from the child seven weeks later. Joey Faust openly admitted to all the above in a church men’s meeting.
  • Unilaterally attempted to remove and receive church members – In a meeting held to determine if Joey Faust should be removed as the pastor, he co-opted the agreed upon purpose of the meeting and attempted to unilaterally cast a member out of church and arbitrarily decree who was and was not a member. He also unilaterally, privately, and without explanation attempted to remove a deacon from his deaconship.
  • Refused to acknowledge the authority of the church to remove a pastor – After failing to get anyone to ratify his decision to remove a member, he openly declared that he could not be removed as a pastor unless he was also removed as a member, and that he could not be removed as a member without his consent. (He also specifically stated that he could not be removed from his position as the pastor by the church, even if he was in late-stage dementia – he maintained that a family member would need to remove him.) He then refused to have any more meetings on his removal.
  • Refuses to relinquish control of church property, including 400+ acres of property with buildings. Any events Joey Faust tries to hold at this location which is at GLADE TOP TRAIL, LONGRUN, MO, are not authorized by Long Run Baptist Church.
Every head of household in the church witnessed and can testify to the above. Every member of the church agrees with the removal and disfellowshipping of Joey Faust. This decision was made by the local church, after much care, prayer, and deliberation, with due process (Matthew 18:17). It was made by many (2 Corinthians 2:6). As an independent fundamental Baptist church, the decision is binding and is not subject to being disregarded by other churches, organizations, or Christians, if they respect the Bible (Matthew 18:18).

We are publishing this as a warning to Christians not to fellowship with or support Joey Faust, and to make clear that he is no longer affiliated with Long Run Baptist Church (Romans 16:17, 2 Thessalonians 3:6, 2 Thessalonians 3:14). Our church is still meeting near Theodosia, MO, as we currently do not have access to our facilities in Long Run.

Joey Faust might be intending to hold retreats or conferences in Long Run, Missouri. He might be trying to establish a new church on the property of Long Run Baptist Church. Past retreats were called King’s Daughters retreats. They might be said to be hosted by Long Run Baptist Church, Old Path Baptist Church, Pure Ozark, The King’s Daughters, or Fundamental Femininity. None of these are sanctioned by the church, nor do we believe they are sanctioned by God.

We would not send our daughters or wives to any retreat Joey Faust is affiliated with and warn you not to either. For those of us who have wives and daughters, they also wholeheartedly agree with this.
